Mango Tea Gin Fiz

Ingredients

  • Higgins & Burke Naturals™ Mango green tea bags
  • 3/4 cup (170 mL) Boiled water
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) Sugar
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Ice
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Gin
  • 1 1/3 cup (300 mL) Sparkling ginger ale
  • 1 Lemon slice, cut in half
  • 2 Mint sprigs

Makes 2 glasses

Prep time: 5 minutes + 10 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

Method

  1. Steep tea bag in boiled water for 5 minutes, remove bag and squeeze to extract all the flavour.
  2. Add sugar to the tea, stir and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Fill a glass halfway with ice.
  4. Pour cool tea over ice, add lemon juice, gin and ginger ale.
  5. Stir, garnish with lemon and mint.
  6. Enjoy.

Notes: Substitute gin for vodka or rum.
